A Blueleaf Press project

Nigerian Content Directory

The Nigerian Content Directory began as a comprehensive reference cataloguing local oil and gas companies registered in Nigeria. Designed to support procurement, partnership and policy clarity, it reflects Blueleaf’s commitment to national industry participation at scale.

Where it stands

This is a long-term product build, not a feature we are pretending already exists.

Earlier work on the directory involved gathering information on tens of thousands of companies and attempting to verify a smaller subset. That experience is now informing a broader rethink of what the product could become.

The next phase will require data design, legal and privacy review, institutional partnerships, verification methodology, technology and a clear commercial model. For that reason, Blueleaf is treating NCD as a separate development programme rather than rushing it into the corporate website as a finished platform.

Target timing, feature set and product structure remain subject to research, partnerships and regulatory review.

Current focus

Build the foundation before the interface.

The original directory work centred on credible company information, procurement relevance, partnership opportunities and policy clarity. The next phase is being built on those foundations with stronger verification and product design.

01

Data sources

Map where relevant company and industry information currently exists and under what access or reuse terms.

02

Verification

Define what can responsibly be described as verified, current or unverified.

03

Partnerships

Engage the institutions, regulators, associations and companies that would strengthen the information base.

04

Product model

Only after the foundation is clear do we decide what belongs in the first digital product.
